Midi notes won’t delete

I’ve had this problem for quiet some time. When editing midi using the piano roll,
I’m sometimes able to delete and sometimes it refuses (meaning nothing happens)
or the only way is to mute the note. Mute works no problem. Then flatten comp takes care of it that way but?

I noticed suddenly midi notes in take lanes that are muted show up in the piano roll as if they are on the track being soloed, though there’s no audio, the notes show.

If you try to delete them it’ll say “this operation cannot be performed” or something along those lines.. I didn’t check splat as I’ve been using bandlab cakewalk. But this issue used to not exist? I also have “show only selected track” selected in my options..
