Midi question

I'm Have a question about a midi project I recently started..... I have several keyboard tracks that I am working on for an intro into a song and took a break from working on the project, shut down, then several days later reopened to continue progress but can not get any midi signal from my keyboard. No settings have been changed since my original session. Any ideas on why my keyboard isn't triggering the synth?   Hope I'm clear with my description. Thanks, Ken

I assume you're talking about an external hardware synth.

    Start by checking the basics:
    Is it on?
    Is the volume up?
What channel is it set to receive on?
What is the patch volume set to?
Is there a midi volume control change in your synth track?
Is the midi icon on your monitor flashing when you press keys on the keyboard?

Did you check Preferences-MIDI-Devices to make sure its selected? Is Windows recognizing it in the Device Manager?
