Midi silent while recording
Hi, Before I press record I can hear the keyboard (connected by midi cable only) with tts. when I start to record I hear metronome and wav track but no sound form the tts. It was working fine yesterday while recording, how to rectify this? the midi is recording. If I open a new project it works tia salsa

When you arm the MIDI track, do you see the track meters move? Is input echo enabled? Please describe your entire signal chain as it can be so many things. CJ

Thanks for the response. I record a midi track; all works well. When I highlight the clip and delete it is when the prob starts.. I press record and I cannot hear it while I am recording, even though the data is being recorded. When press playback I hear it but not when recording the actual playing.. echo is on.. Seems that when I delete the recording, it goes haywire.

I can play and hear before I hit record. when I hit record I hear nothing.. just the data is being recorded.. This is only after I delete a previous recording.

Cactus Music That is strange, A workaround is don't delete the recording and set your recording option to "overwrite" in preferences. It's faster anyhow.
On my system I can delete a MIDI clip or track and hear what I am recording when in overwrite mode. I don't remember if this works in any other MIDI recording mode but I will have to try that.
The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better. Now when I record the audio track I put reverb and eq in the fx box and nothing happens. Effects are not, in effect, affecting the audio . I hate to have to start the project all over again. Why is sonar disengaging/disconnecting these engines thanks salsa

Watch for the "E" key - that bypasses all FX.
