Midi/audio clip background color question

Hey!

When choosing a color for a track in the track view, only the midi data ( foreground midi blobs) clips are colored, not the midi background, which stays unaffected.

Is there a way to make the midi clips/audio clips background to get colorized from setting a color for a track instead? Whould be more visual clearer...

I can select the midi/audio clips and manually set their backgroundcolor but when I record new takes I have to set the right color again because the recorded midi/audio data is uncolored...

edit: Im using sonar platinum (2017.10)

It is possible to set track strip color (similar to X3) by using the Mercury theme. Make sure "Show strip colors" is enabled in Preferences > Customization > Colors and the set the theme to Mercury in Preferences > Customization > Themes

Thanks scook, but can this make it so when I set a track strip color, only the midi clip background will be affected?
Right now when choosing a color on track strip only affects the foreground color on midi clips
