Midiman usb problem

I have a Midiman USB Midisport 2x2 interfacing my Sonar Producer 3.  It is no longer playing my MIDI modules through Sonar.  Echo midi is checked.  It plays thru with no problem.  Sonar plays my Yamaha Motif module (not a MIDI module, but USB).

Am I missing something?  Is the Midiman dead?

I have a controller going IN which plays my modules in the THRU mode of the Midiman, but does not play the modules via USB thru Sonar and back out MIDI into the modules.

I have an old hacked XP machine that has not been updated since the transistor age.  Perhaps I can reinstall drivers.
