Migrating X1, X2 to X3

There is a great read on migrating your plug-ins and settings in the December 2013 issue of SOS (Sound on Sound). Craig Anderton EVP for Gibson wrote the article. You will have to buy the magazine to get the article as you will not be able to read in its entirety online.

I have to say that I just assumed when I did the new install it would manage any of the presets and FX Chains I created. I now have a better understanding as to why they are not working and populating correctly.

I am sure some of you old timers are familiar with this but I strongly suggest that anyone having issues with plug-ins missing, X1 and X2 songs missing data and plug-ins, customization to track icons, plug-in layouts, Pro Channel Presets, Project Templates, Fx Chains, folder locations, and the like  give this a read.

Thanks Craig and Noel. (May be you could point out a similar read.)
