Miking instruments in a studio

OK... I don't do much miking of anything except vocals but some people here do.

So I thought this would be a good video to post. It is TAXI president Michael Lasko talking about miking techniques that he has used or has seen other famous engineers use in recording the big artists that we all know and love.

He talks about miking guitars, both acoustic and electric and also gets into drum miking techniques as well.... plus he throws in a few personal stories along the way.

Miking with Mikey

Enjoy.

Perhaps it was all those video sites you were "looking" at during lunch hour before they locked it?  ;-)
