Mindhunter

We watched this on Netflix and was a very interesting show. Showed how the FBI started out in profiling serial killers and the equipment they used (reel to reel, huge tape recorders, etc...). A funny/sarcastic relationship between the two partners as well.....sadly, it's still only one season available. Good show though...

I binged it over two days. Great show, apparently based on true events. What was particularly refreshing is that every character acts like a real human, none clearly white-hats or black-hats. That's quite rare in TV dramas, where they normally beat you over the head with trite stereotypes.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

The best drama I've seen for that is Line of Duty, you really have no clear idea who the 'good' or 'bad' guys are, everyone is flawed.

I'll give Mindhunter a whirl this evening.

If you had any doubts about the true-story aspects of this show...(one of the real FBI agents was named "Ressler", sound familiar?)

Not only a great theme, but also good spot music choices for the 70's setting - including a few surprises such as Klaatu's version of Calling Occupants. Here's the theme and a songlist:

That's a great tune, isn't it? An underappreciated gem. It might have even been a hit, had it come out a few years earlier when such inventiveness was more commercially viable.

Just finished the last episode, the placement of Led Zeppelin's 'In The Light' was inspired.
