Minimalistic frustrations

Hi. Made a new tune. The name is a bit misleading as I don't know how to make minimalistic stuff but the chorus is kind of minimalistic somehow, I think. The bridge felt first for some reason impossible to make for it but it turned out OKish imo. The tune is pretty much my standard work. I hope you like it anyway:)

Oko-ish?  Did you mean simply *minimal frustrations*?  It sounds care-free.

Thank you for your comment. By OKish I meant that the bridge sounds ok by my standards. I named it Minimalistic Frustrations because the chorus is too simple thus 'minimalistic' although I know it is not that style. Also it was very difficult to make the bridge part and usually I don't have a lot of problems making bridges and that was frustrating. I almost always come up with bad name choices. But I am pretty happy with the bass parts.

    Hey Antti,
this is good!  mix is good and clean, bass sounds good.  drums are nice and tastey.  synths sounds are nicely done

Thank you Beagle. I will try to improve the chorus as it is the weakest part on this tune.

    I pass the dreamy day
    with thought of you
    then
    at the stroke of 5
    into my arms you fall
    and into the night
    we dance our song
    round and round
    until dizzy we drop
    and clutch one another
    in rapturous joy

Yeah, this sounds like kakku.      The synths have your stamp all over them.  Although, I think the groove during the "chorus" is a bit more funky than other tunes you've posted.  I like it.

Thank you Steve. I tried to improve the chorus and I succeeded with the first bars but something is wrong and the chorus is now a bar or two too long... Luckily i did not get discouraged but started instead a new tune which in my ears sounds better than this one. I will probably post it when the time is right.

Thank you for your comment. I must confess that I did this without my MIDI keyboards as it is difficult to fix the mistakes I make when I play.

There's nothing wrong with programming/sequencing instead of playing every note yourself. No-one expects a classical composer or an arranger scoring for orchestra or even small ensembles like string quartets - or pop groups for that matter - to be able to play every part they write on the relevant instrument. They write the music and give it to others to play, then sometimes complain the musicians sound nothing like the composer imagines they should.

And when you tell a synth that it's just not making the right sounds and things need to change, unlike humans it has no feelings to get hurt.

What matters is the end result, which you've done very nicely.

The opening chords remind me for some reason of the sort of thing English church organists play at weddings while everyone's waiting for the bride to turn up. :-)

This has the Kakku sound, nice use of some suitably fitting synth sounds with nice movement, mix works well here, thanks for sharing.
