Minor automation issue

Hello, I ran into an issue with automation last night. When I render my midi to audio, a volume automation I added to a midi track doesn't go through in the audio track playback. I've tried to figure out how to get this right, but I have no other ideas on how I can fix it. Can anyone fill me in?

    The volume automation should be on the audio output track. I don't know how automation behaves on Simple Instrument Tracks (if that's what you're using), though, 'cause I've never used them.
