Mis-placed my Grand piano!

I used my promo code to get the CSC Steinway Grand. I dl the expansion pack. Un-zip and install. The pianos are showing on the instrument list in Sound Center but when I try to load it's not finding the samples. First time I've ever messed around with an installation in Sound Center. Any suggestions. Have not had any luck locating the samples. Any suggestions as to how to find the samples. HELP!

    Hi Sidroe,

For 64 bit, please be sure the Multisamples (SFZ and Sample Folder) are located in:
    C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center\Modules\Multisamples\Dimension Pro

or if you are running 32 bit on a 64 bit machine -
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center\Modules\Multisamples\Dimension Pro

Program files should be located in:
    C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Sound Center\Programs

    Best Regards,

Thanks, Tim. Everything is in the proper place but I was somewhat surprised to find that my program data has been changed to Notion 3 progression files. They are showing N3 icons and the file name is progression file instead of .prog file. The strange thing is that the default programs that came in Sound Center play fine but the grand expansion doesn't. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Okay, I re-scanned both 32 and 64 bit X2. The 32 bit version is loading and playing the Steinway fine. Still no go in 64 bit. Alittle progress but I would like to be able to play this in 64 bit. Any suggestions?

Great to hear you are making progress. Are the Multisamples in both of these locations?

Yes, the multisamples are in both locations as I am using both 32 and 64 bit versions of X2. Still not getting the 64 bit version of Sound Center to see the samples. The pianos are on the list but will not see the samples in X64. I apologize, also, for being sporadic in responses. I'm tweaking mixes for an album project today and I am trying to get the Sound Center problem ironed out, too. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks, Tim. I appreciate the offer to call but the holidays were just overwhelming this year with family issues. I did get the 32 bit sorted out. I still can't get the 64 to work. I will get back on it this week if I get some spare time. I thank you for your kind help and will be in touch.

wractjob, are you using the 32 bit version of Sonar along with the 64 bit? the dll could have gone to the wrong folder.

    Re:Mis-placed my Grand piano! 2013/01/09 13:04:41 (permalink)
Looked at this a bit more. If Sonar X is installed on a 64bit system.

    Multisamples will be placed in
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center\Modules
    Programs will be placed in
    C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Sound Center\Programs

If they are not, you can look in the registry and see where SC is looking for multisamples -
    Open the registry – regedit

My install shows the following -
    Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE – SOFTWARE –Wow6432Node –Cakewalk Music Software – Cakewalk Sound Center – 1.0
Installation Folder – C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Tim
