Miss Prissy

I know that I have been away from the forum for a while but I didn't think it was that long.  I say that because an incredible amount of new songs (good songs) have been posted.  I have responded to a few but its going to take a while to catch up.  Plus SoundCloud wouldn't play for me today.  While I was absent I have been working on some songs and here is one of them.  It is a silly, simple little rock 'n rollin' rockabilly number.
I hope that it might provide you with about 2 minutes and 56 seconds of light entertainment.  As always any tips, suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
Thanks!

This is fun!  Nice harmonies and a solid instrumental performance.  Yeah, I would have thought of you right away if I hadn't seen who was doing it.  Fun song, Freddy!!  OH, BTW, I downloaded the Chrome OS and it took about 5 minutes, if that.  All the sites work with it.  I only use it for the forum because I still like IE but Chrome is fast.  Cool song, Freddy!

Hi Frank -- the only way that I can get SoundCloud to work for me is to try different browsers.  Thanks for listening and the kind comments.

Hey Mark -- You are much too kind my friend.  Thanks!!!  I'm loving the stuff that you and Warren are putting out.  Keep them coming.

Hi Warren -- Thanks buddy, I appreciate the kind works!  I'll have to give Chrome a try.  I'm getting tired of switching back and forth between Firefox and IE just to hear stuff on SoundCloud.  BTW I'm loving the stuff the Pugtones are putting out!!!

Hello John (Wookiee) -- Thanks a lot for taking time to listen and for the kind response.

Thanks very much Lynn.  You knew her too, eh?  I guess she kinda got around  ;>)

My time off was busy but rewarding.  Thanks very much for responding and the kind words John (theguitarplayer).  I appreciate it.

Hey Robbie.  Sorry you didn't like the lead guitar but you know that I don't know what I'm doing most of the time.   ;>)

Hi Walt.  Thanks for the kind feedback.  I appreciate it.  I have been spending much too much time listening to rockabilly recently.  It amazes me how much great rockabilly is coming out of Europe.  Just like the Blues back in the '60's, it seems as if this form of American music is being kept alive overseas.

How are you Bob?  It is nice to be back on the forum but there is so much great new stuff being posted that it is going to take a while to catch up.  Congratulations on your new album buddy!!!  I hope that it does really well for you.

    Hi Freddy,

Nice job.  I like the song and your vocals.  Needs more kick at sharper bass sound I think.  Mids and highs are hot!
I would put that lead through a live amp.  I have always loved your stuff.

Good old live sounding music. I like it. Your guitars sound great and the vocals sound like the 50's. The drums seem a bit out of place to me. A nice set of ludwigs with a room mic up loud would be nice. Do you have EZ drummer? The vintage kit would be a nice fit I think. Drums are my personal downfall so I'm probably wrong! Hahaha.

I grew up with rockabilly so this resonates with me.
It has a very "live " feel so the drums don't bother me.
The hook/riff on the guitar doesn't "swing/cook/groove" with the rest IMHO.
Good subject, good catchy chorus. Well sung.

Thanks Bapu!!!  I guess that we have all bumped into a Miss Prissy at one time or another.

Hi Clint.  I too have struggled with drums.  Given my more than limited skills in trying to program drums, I use a lot of loops of live drummers.  That definitely limits what I can do but on the whole it is better than I can program.  Thanks for listening and the feedback.

Hey Daniel.  Thank you.  I would love to get over to Amsterdam  --  maybe some day.  Thanks for the link to the website.  It looks great!

Hey Glenn.  Thanks for the feedback.  I went back to listen to the lead.  It's not the common Travis picking style or Carl Perkins style used by a lot of Rockabilly cats.  Now that I have listened to it again, the lead does give it kind of '60's bubble gum feel.  Hmmmm, I'm gonna have to give some thought to this.

Hi Twisted6s.  Thanks for listening and the good words.  Ya, she's a looker isn't she.     ;>)
