Missing Disable/Bypass Write Automation?

I can't find a way to disable write automation temporarily. In 8.5 there was a button that toggled this without changing the state of the individual channel write buttons. (in X1 there's a button that clears all the write buttons permanently, but not one that just toggles the recording without changing the buttons).
 
Am I missing something?
 
If it's really gone, please bring it back (or allow the crossed W button to bring back the individual write button states when you press it a second time). I used the toggle button in 8.5 all the time.
