Missing Loop Construction Window...Anyone Else? (SOLVED)

This has been happening through X1b and both quick fixes. It just displays a blank window with no wave form in it and no editable data or information. Have no idea where to look to fix.

(SOLVED)I was messing around just now and hit the 'undock' or 'dock' button (I really have no idea what I did) and it reappeared. Magic. What was weird was the 'shell' of the LC would be there but no innards. Weird but it's working now.

Bump. Perhaps someone could double click an audio track or press Alt 7 to see what comes up as far as the loop construction window. Thanks

I had this happen a couple of times when I first installed X1, and it drove me crazy. I finally figured out what it was but now I don't remember...it was something like maybe slip-editing a file and not trimming it...or maybe it was slip-editing and then trimming...something like that.

Have you opened a new project with nothing in it, brought over one of the factory loops, and tried opening the loop construction window? I assume you have, but I'm just asking...

In any event, whatever it was hasn't happened to me in so long I can't remember what I did to fix it. Sorry.

    Thanks for the reply Craig.

I haven't tried a raw wav from the library but did try a few different methods with Audio files and still nothing in the window. I thought that any audio file would be opened in the loop window but perhaps only a specific type/loop?

    Anyone else?

larry it comes up for me..i tried it a few times..but i dont have the quick fixes installed..just the two patches..1a-1b.
is it once in a while this happens or all the time?
the only thing i can think of is that the loop constructor is havind a hard time transfering the data from the tracks into the L.C.
can you try right clicking to selct the data then use view/loop constructor?just to see if that same loop that wont open does in view?..
sorry if im not helping much here..in just thinking of all options.

Thanks for the reply Charlie. I'm off to work but I'll try a couple of things this afternoon. As of now it is gone and won't display at all every time.

Again, grasshopper, this is only the "new" zen method that Roland is "experimenting" with via Cakewalk.  Not so long ago in the monasterys the priests would hide in waiting around corners and behind doors for the young acolytes to pass.  Then they would strike them from behind on the back of the head with a short wooden dowel.  They would continue this process until either the acolyte just ignored it (the desired outcome) or they had to be carted the 60 or so miles to the nearest hospital with a concussion or brain injury.  I pray that soon, like an old one as I am, you will come to ignore these tests and find your bliss.  Oh yes, if you happen to be at a hotdog stand anytime soon please have them make me one with everything;-)

So, so correct olpal. I believe the new paradigm is definitive alternate universes.

In one universe the Loop Construction Window does not, and never has, existed.

In another there is, as you suggest, Hot Dogs. Who knew?
