Missing Plug-Ins...

Whenever I try to insert a track from a template, for e.g.

Insert From Track Template --> Audio --> Bass --> Bass MAX Funky, I keep seeing a Missing Plug-Ins dialog box for things like:

Cakewalk Parametric EQ (Track: 'Bass MAX Funky ')
Cakewalk FX Compressor/Gate (Track: 'Bass MAX Funky ')

Is this a bad install or are these plugins somehow missing?

    S5 doesn't install all FX by default. See if this helps. Insert your S5 DVD. Click on "Install". Click on "SONAR 5". Select your language. Follow the steps until you get to the "Select Components" window. Deselect "Program Files". Click on "Options" for "Audio FX". Click "Select None". Select "Pitch", "Parametric EQ" and "FX1 Dynamic Processor". Deselect "MIDI FX", "Sample Files", "Libraries" and "Soft Synths". Finish install. HTH.

    thanks a lot. I never noticed that the plug-ins at the bottom were not checked. this fixed the problem.

    This was the solution I was looking for. I recently moved from one computer to another and also did not notice that the install did not have all the plug-ins seleted so some of my earlier projects were erroring with the missing plug-in not found. Great information!
