Missing TTSlame.dll (after trying to re-apply Lynx Hotfix)

Hello all,

I attempted searching the forum but could not find this problem, nor solution.  Hope someone can help?

First off, I am a Lynx AES16e and Aurora 16 owner, and had the problem of Audio Card disappearing from Sonar.
I applied the Hotfix that came out and everything was grand once again.
Now, I also use PCTools Performance Toolkit (when not mixing/recording); I beleive that it removed something during a scan and in the process knocked out the hotfix so that Sonar once again could not recognize my soundcard.

I uninstalled Sonar and began again.  Now when I reach the popint where I need to apply the Hotfix, Sonar informs me that the hotfix cannot be applied because the "TTSlame.dll is missing.  No hotfix, no soundcard!

I have gone into Sonar's file and can see the .dll is there,  but for some reason Sonar does not see it.

Any possible solutions people?

Thanks
Adriano

I simply reinstalled x1 without the update and obviously without the hotfix.
At least I can keep working on my learning curve with X1...

No need to re-install X1. Get the TTSLame.dll a user updated for us. Download in the link from the following post: http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=1774575

I'm sorry. I didn't read your whole post. I don't know if this user updated TTSLame.dll will fix your issue, as you say the hotfix doesn't see the TTSLame.dll, even though it's in the correct directory. Maybe it's still worth a try. Or may it's time to contact Cakewalk.

problem fixed, the hot fix is not a self extracting patch! after emailing cakewalk. they told me to read the install instuctions and all is working fine. the patch needs to be manualy extracted and placed in the x1 DIRECTORY! OOPS arty

Please let me know exact steps you used since I tried to follow the download page and it is not working for me.
I have the 64bit Sonar Xa1 patch installed on my windows7 box and now even when I back it out, I get the same lame DDL message.

    hey jubal,
I dont know if this helps but this is what cakewalk sent me via email

also, I know you have to rename the exsisting SONARPDR.EXE before putting the new hot fix EXE in

{It sounds as if you tried running the hotfix as if it had its own installation.

There is no installer for the hotfix, you must manually install this following the installation instructions at http://www.cakewalk.com/s...der.aspx?ID=2007013217

    If you try to double-click SONARPDR.EXE from the folder you download it too, you will receive this error message in regards to missing ttslame.dll.}
