Missing midi ports

Hello Ya,all............
 
i'm using Sonar X3 and Sonar producer edition, since 2 weeks , when i wanna open a project , i get the dropbox : 

reassign midi ports , for you Dr rhythm Boss 880 , and sometimes he can't find reverb or other FX,  
and then my computer blocks.............the only thing i can do is restart
who can help me

    This article might be helpful. it explains why sometimes a Windows computer will show that MIDI ports are available, but they don't show up as available within programs.

    Be sure you have all your gear turned on before you start Sonar. Give them a moment to load any drivers too.

    What I mean is simpler than that though what you say is useful.  Sonar can't see a device if its turned on after Sonar is loaded. All my audio gear is turned on by a single switch. Makes it a lot easier if you have more than one piece of external gear.
