Definitely out there. I can't say I like it but the mix is good. The drums are to low and lack excitement.

    Nice work!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Yeah, it's just a bit whaQued.        Overall mix does seem OK though, busy but can still hear details.

Hey Steve, first off, I want to thank you for being such a great songs forum participant.  I really appreciate the fact that you take time to comment on peoples songs in a thoughtful manner, and not just mine, but many others too.  I do like the fact that you are willing to listen to my stuff, which is definitely out there, and offer honest criticism.

There are certainly others like you on the forum, who make an effort to listen to as many other people as possible, but when it comes to my music you are consistently there to provide a thought or two.

I am glad to hear that guitarpima and you think that the mix is good.  I am trying to improve on that, and even though the material may be skewed, or Qed, and not really accessible to most, at least the mix is getting better.

This is a song about a friend of mine who walked to the beat of a different drummer.  They took a lot of heat from others because they stood out in the crowd, and they were excluded from many experiences because they didn't fit the mold.  Yet, they were always the first to help someone in need, regardless of how they were treated or not, and then one day they were beat to a pulp and died.  It ended up that the person who beat them did it because "he was an abomination."

I had an uncle once, who was kind of a bigot.  He didn't really like certain people because of their "status."  Then one day he was out for a jog and had a heart attack.  The person that saved his life was "one of those" who he would have disparaged.

Steve, if you are talking about the peanut butter jelly sandwich thing, that just came out, and I didn't think anything about it until after the song had been posted.  So there was no intention there, but I suppose it could leave the discerning listener to ponder.  See, that is what I mean, you are probably one of the only people that would listen that far into the song, and listen that closely, and then actually wonder.

Now that was one long winded post, something I usually reserve for the coffee house, but I am currently organizing my sock drawer so haven't had time to post over there.

    Peace Steve, and thanks guitarpima

Well, I fully expect by now that those socks will be organized by color and style.

Very interesting, and perhaps a little too busy for my taste, but I like the mix.  I think the rythmic timing probably took a long time to get just right, but it's also what adds to it's quirkiness.
