Misty down while I finish a new version with another Sonar forum friend.

(I'll be back)

One of the best things about doing this song was having the opportunity to listen to Johnny Mathis - what a voice that guy has.

I think this is my fifth ballad - one more to go.

Thanks in advance for taking a listen.

Lovely Mark. Nice backing and lead. Guitar tones sound great and I think the very subtle drive on the melody is just right.

Another great piece in this series

    Cheers

Definitely one of my favorite jazz ballads out there.
Nicely played! Very nice tone choices. The overall 'natural' sort of raw, "I just came into my studio and picked up my guitar"-sound is just awesome, especially given with how clean and 'mistake-free' the recording is.

Ok, buddy, this is my favorite in this series.  Everything about it is the best to me.  You seem to have perfected what you are doing.  Just beautiful and the song evokes a lot of memories!
I think I better get back to recording or lose my partner!    I have been playing live a lot and have about come to the conclusion that I have gotten too old to do too much.   Too bad, I do love it.  But!!!!  Our work together has always been a source of great satisfaction for me.   Keep on with those recordings, buddy!!  As Arnie said...."I'll be baaaack".

synkrotron - thanks Andy - appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

davudud - thanks for the comment. I don't play these straight through. I figure out a phrase and then practice it and change it up until it fits - then I record it until I have a recording I like. I could play this straight through - but I'd have to practice more - and I'm kind of a lazy soul. Thanks again.

philz - appreciate it - thanks so much.

Warren - thanks so much partner - means everything to me that you like it. I would agree, get on with it.  ;-D

james - thanks bro. I played both of these tracks through a POD XTLive - for the background guitar, I used a PRS, for the lead guitar a Gibson ES 335. Thanks for taking a listen.

The clarity struck me right from the gate. Nice relaxed playing throughout-not rushed. Playing out of an amp?
