I don't have much to say about the mix apart from the middle of the frequency range sounded a bit indistinct throughout the whole song - but I can't suggest what you should do about it... The song itself is great! Fantastic fun pop song. It reminded me of a band I love called Farrah (not quite in the mainstream... yet). Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Cheers, Terry.

Not much to say about the mix here. It works well enough. There are no glaring errors that jump out at me. Fun song. Cheers Shad

Nice one bibs. Really like the song - immediately catchy. Everything seems to be in the right place mixwise. I'm listening on crappy computer speakers so it's difficult to be really critical of the mix but I think the drums could do with a little bit more definition

This is a good example of a well done pop song. Perhaps the vocals could be a bit louder so as to understand the lyrics better. Most pop songs have the vocals front and center, but it still works as is. Good job.

I like it. I agree the vocals could be louder. But it has a good feeling, a little retro and a little modern but bouncy. Nice tune. Daryl

I like it too. Nice and tight sounding. Are you using anything like Ozone on it? It sounds pretty good..... I'd bump the vox a db or so..... and I'd also bump the high end a bit..... not much.... just open the top end a bit. It's also a bit too long for a pop song. You could chop a good 60 seconds off it to put it more in the ballpark. JMHO

cool song. sounds a bit like Split Enz (one of my fave new wave-ish bands). To reiterate a few others, I would brighten it up a bit (or maybe just the upper mids). Maybe bring the snare forward a bit as well. Sounds a little lost back there. Really nice song though. Catchy and upbeat. good stuff.

Hey Wiz, the vocals still seem buried to me. Seems like a great little tune, but I can't hear all the lyrics. I think the mix is OK so far, but like you say, it's hard to tell until you have all the elements in place. Would love to know what the lyrics are. Maybe you could post them here?

Hey there, Since you asked, I would bring the lead up a bit and, as previously mentioned, shave off about 45-60 seconds. Other than that, well done.

Sorry peeps, i deleted it by accident re-added and forgot to change the link. Here it is again http://soundcloud.com/spa...ordinary-final/s-RQhgi I am going to try and shave a few seconds off in the next day or so plus remix it. All i did was use the concrete limiter on the master bus to boost the levels Cheers for all of your valuable comments as always! Bibs

The chorus doesn't feel distinct or memorable. In a pop song that should be like the money shot moment. And I won't remember this tomorrow. Which his not what you want. It sounds the best coming out of the bridge. But there again, notice the distintion between those two parts versus the verse and the chorus. JMO.
