That could be depressing, hearing what all your hard work is going to translate to on an iPhone. I can see the practicality of determining EQ and distortion characteristics of a specific target such as an iPhone, but some of the targets seem impractically vague. What headphones are you emulating? What speakers? I have headphones that do sound as bad as those in the video, but I have others that sound much, much better. Even laptop speakers vary a lot. In the end, what actionable information does the plugin provide? Just knowing your mix will sound like crap on earbuds? You knew that already!

ARC2 has a bunch of these speaker profiles, something I didn't notice for ages after installing it, being terminally un-observant.

$149? Whoa! $30 or $50 maybe. Way overpriced. And I agree with Bitflipper's words of wisdom. I haven't downloaded a demo but seems like a gimmick. A $150 gimmick. Count me out.

I reviewed MixChecker in the July eZine. It's actually rather handy. As to the price, there's an interesting article about what went into making it on the Audified web site. Audified's main thing is broadcast-related software. However, bear in mind this is not the same as something like the Focusrite VRM box; it's not about emulating specific devices, but a representative device. For example the smart phone simulation doesn't sound exactly like an iPhone or Android, but the characteristics they have in common.

Does this in a way compare to what Ozone 7 Advanced offers in terms of Codec Preview?

Only insofar as both predict the effect of an external process. The difference is that Ozone is applying predictable factors, based on what an encoder will do to the audio. It is going to be quite accurate. Mixchecker, OTOH, is making broad guesses based on assumptions that may or may not be accurate.
