I think getting a new midi keyboard controller may be better option as a controller that fit your requirement (pitch bend / mod wheel) will not have to be too costly.
I suppose no one has yet answer, due to too many choices are available for a midi keyboard controller and all of them may be suitable for your need.
Edit : and possibly you posted in this forum reserved for "Discussion focused on Cakewalk's line of USB Keyboard Controllers".. perhaps more people will view it if posted at the gear/hardware forum.
I would suggest to go and try out the feel of various keyboard controllers, and choose the one best to your liking. For size, go for the biggest one your space allows. Then, if you just want to do orchestra scoring, a smaller key range may just be enough. This is something you need to decide.
It only gets complicated if you want to do more with the controller, such as using drums pads, more controls with knobs and faders, etc..
I'm currently using a kawai digital piano as my main controller, as it has what I needed - including 4 faders that I can setup for various tasks (mainly mixing).
Personally, I'm eyeing on these 2 :
http://www.akaipro.com/lpk25 - for portability with notebook
http://www.akaipro.com/max49 - it has after touch control
- MPC pads
- LED touch faders
Feel free to ask more question regarding controller features. If I don't know, I'm sure someone here will be able to help as well.
