Mogam Happy Now - Final Rev??
Quick piece today with several guitar tracks layered backed by mogwai. This is a very pleasing sound I've mixed this over and over changing track levels, this is still my toughest weakpoint. Since this has a lot of potential, I'm throwing it out there without much change from the orig 2 hour recording today Rest of day was trying to get decent mix, I am near burn out so hope comments will give idea what needs what. cap Final Rev 5/30/14 Best mix yet for me https://soundcloud.com/capg/mogamor http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=12806799&q=hi&newref=1

beautiful guitar work. love the panning effects too. could totally just zone out to it. as for the mix the only part i felt stuck out was the kind of distorted guitar you hear from around 1:30-1:45 (it comes and goes elsewhere too but it was especially noticeable in that range)... a little too much of it for such a chill track. probably bring it down or less distortion maybe.

youre right, it does stick out, I needed something there to gently build up to the next movement, probably something like a deep cello. thanks for that suggestion, back to drawing board cap DONE Revised link is in top post, enjoy

Yeah, I like that - very calming. It just needs a better ending. FWIW, you picked a good picture to go with the tune.

Thanks all, I got so focused on vol mixing that the ending had no attention. Will work on it and one glaring thing to me is the guitar tone is ok but I keep hitting around the same notes, and not enough up and down the scale, and some notes were not right in certain spots. It has to feel and sound right and I'm not there yet, but this is a fun tune to play with, i can feel it, just can't get it to the fingers. Its equally fun learning how to use Sonar, so complicated.
