Monitors discontinued?

Is the Cakewalk MA-7A and MA-15D discontinued? Since alot of websites say it is and if it is what will replace them. Or will only the name be changed to Roland instead of Cakewalk?

I did talk to Sweetwater and they said that the Cakewalk monitors will be Roland. But they also said that the wood grain color is not going to be there anymore but is that true? I liked the wood color since my house has alot of wood color and it blends well.

Ok Roland said that they don't make anymore of the MA-7A type monitors since they don't have any in stock now. They do still make the Cakewalk MA-15D since they said they have many of those in stock. I wonder why Roland stopped making the MA-7A monitors. They think that they won't be making a replacement for the MA-7A.

Good thing that I ordered a pair of the MA-7A monitors from Sweetwater before they were gone since when I ordered them they said they had only 6 left and next day they were gone. Now Sweetwater doesn't even sell the MA-7A monitors anymore since Roland doesn't have them in stock anymore or make them. Sweetwater still sells the MA-15D since those are in stock in Roland warehouse. They assumed that they still make them since they have so many but I wonder if after whatever they have left then those will be discontinued too.

Anyways if Roland stops making all of there monitors I hope Roland will make monitors again like the MA-7A or MA-15D. I did like the MA-7A since they are affordable and for people like me who are in a budget. The last set I got of the same kind of monitors was back around 2004 when it was Edirol MA-7A and it was also the woodgrain color like my new Cakewalk MA-7A I have now. I like the woodgrain color since it matches my home.

I havent heard anything about them stoping them but roland have been makeing monitors for years now would be strange for them to stop.

Maybe they are discontinueing them to sell out before relaseing something new

Strange I will need to go ask

Thanks for the heads up man

Well I live in the USA so I don't know UK. But all I know is that the Roland in USA said that they don't have any MA-7A monitors in stock and they assumed they don't make them anymore. But they said they have alot of the MA-15D monitors in stock. They said probley the MA-7A wasn't so popular so they quit making them. Hopefuly they will make something like the MA-7A monitors again since I did like those alot. They were cheap, affordable and sound great.

Don't buy those monitors if you us bass instruments in your mixes. I have worked with them for years and I know them very well. Thay are not bad for listening to music, but no way for doing anything important on them. If you have a limited budget just try the samson which are a little bit more expensive but have been awarded many times and they have shined in various monitor tests. I personally have yamaha monitors but my friend has the samson 65a and when I first listen to them i was in shock. And the funny thing is that the price of the two samson was what I've paid for one yamaha speaker.
