Mono tracks always bounce to stereo?
I'm using Sonar Professional. After I record a track I always bounce to clip the track. Sonar Professional always bounces my mono tracks to stereo. Is there a setting that will change this. Thanks.

On the tracks view, click on Tracks, then click on Bounce, and you'll see some settings in there. Just curious why you bounce to track after each recording?

I'm using Sonar Platinum and I'm trying to bounce down comps of mono tracks to one solid stem. Every time I do it, it bounces it down to a stereo file. This is different than bouncing Tracks, which bounces down effects and automation. This is just turning a comp file into one single audio file, or it should be. I cannot find a setting anywhere to change this but it wasn't always this way. Does anyone know how to keep mono bounces mono? Or if we have to take the step of bouncing to stereo and then converting to mono, is there any change in the audio? I need to output these stems raw for someone else to mix. Thanks.

Open track inspector and check the stereo interleave button. Even though you record a mono track, if the stereo interleave button is set to stereo, your bounced clip will be stereo. Click the button, then re-bouncing to clip should be mono. Sorry, I don't have Sonar open right now to be more descriptive.

On the higher left, click on the double arrow left to View, Options, Tracks, Clips. The interleave symbol is on top of the M, or Mute button. Click on it. It looks lije an antenna. dan

If it looks like an antenna, and it really does, is that a sign it should be a different icon?

Although it's really one lobe, or two, like an audio pattern......but still, what does that do to a new User.
