More Manx cat fun...

YES! You too can have cat poo on your porch, your floor, your chair, your flannel shirt, your tee shirt, the back of your head, and your easy chair... not to mention the porch table and who knows where else???
Get a Manx cat.
I saw her up from her nap and decided to let her in for a minute. She jumped up on me all purring and pooping. She likes to walk right up to your face and headbutt your forehead... then she stepped over to the little side table by my chair. She was a little too close to my face so I pushed her down to my lap, then I caught a whiff... I figured she just cut one. I went in the kitchen to get her some food so she would happily go back outside... then I caught another strong whiff too and realized it must be on me. I found a small streak on the sleeve of my flannel shirt, threw it in the washer. Cbow said, "hold on... it's on your tee shirt"... dang, I eased it off and threw it in the washer. Then I rubbed my head and felt something on the back... yep. Thank goodness I have been shaving my head. I got the baby wipes and cleaned that up. Took her out and was fixing her a plate of food on the porch table... up she jumps and drops me a little turd about like a rat turd on a placemat. Cleaned that up. Cleaned up two mistakes on the porch floor. Finally got back inside and sat down only to get a big whiff of... you guess it. There was a piece on the back of my chair, that is how I got it on my head. I had to clean that up three times to get rid of it all. Vinegar based cleaner did it... then leather wipes.

She is the sweetest cat I have ever seen but she cannot control her sphincter muscles. Most of the time she is fine but just when you think it is safe... POW... er I mean POO.

OF course, as fate would have it, I was in the middle of watching a movie, The Debt. I had it paused and finally got rid of all the stink and poo... everything clean and gone. I went over the floor three times with a flashlight and cleaner, everything is in the washer or soaking on the other porch... I sat back down to finish the movie. I Pressed the power button instead of the play button... movie gone.
Oh well, I guess I can watch it some other timeor On Demand.

Anyone want a really sweet cat? BTW, she is officially banned from the screened deck now. She has plenty of room under the deck and in the yard and I will get her a little house with heat. I already made her three beds on the cooking/open air deck.

You can officially call me ****head now (pronounced Shateed)...but please don't. I almost forgot... we spent the morning watching reruns of a show on Animal Planet called Monsters Inside Me it is about getting parasites from animals... what a day. I am going to be careful the rest of today just in case.

Man, sorry to hear that Julian.

My ex was crazy about Manx. I bet you she'd take it if she wasn't living at the other end of the world. Yeah, even w/ the poo problem. Crazy cat ladies, you know...

You know Rain... I did it all with a smile. She is still a really sweet cat and I think she will be happy outside and under the deck. I'll still go out and spend time with her... she is a mess. I've always liked cats, dogs too! I told my wife last week that we must be the island of misfit pets. All but one of our pets has been a rescue and that one was a puppy from a rescue. I cannot STAND people who just dump their pups or kittens out somewhere for others to deal with... but I will always take them in and either keep them or find them a home. Our local animal shelter kills a LOT of kittens and cats because so many come in and people only want a little kitten.

Did you ask a vet to see if the "condition" might just be temporary?  Maybe the cat simply has something like the flu or can't stomach something she ate?

Did you happen to have one of Bapu's monkey song plugs up on your computer at the time?  Maybe she was just "commenting" on them...

Yeah, we took her to the vet as soon as we got her. I may try to find a better vet rather than one that say's it will get better.

She does eat what she kills unless I manage to rescue it. Life gets crazy sometimes.

Craig. My wifedid some research and found out that there are things that cause this and it can be fixed. That it is not just because a Manx has less control. We just have to find a vet who knows what they are doing. They have just as many vertibrae as any other cat. Anyway it is related to defects that can be fixed, some neurological stuff and if none of that there are meds.

If she can be fixed, we will get her fixed. I am a little surprised though, when I was growing up... cats didn't go to the vet. I guess we all change with time. Thanks for asking.
