More clownery...

So I've finally gotten to the point where I can build my DAW desks which are comprised of some old interior doors, scrap 2"x4"s and some folding table legs. Got the bottom support system screwed onto the first door and was ready to slap a coat of paint on the underside to seal in the raw lumber before attaching the legs. Well I had someone stop by my old place to snag some white gloss paint I had left there. So after laying down some newspaper and digging out my brush and the paint I realized... the can of paint they brought me was nasty ass gray garage floor paint.

*sigh*

Thanks. At least after today I should have my desks set up... if my back co-operates.

Well it certainly is pasty. I did however notice this morning there's a little more cushion back there so that's good. ;-)

Gah! My long support for the second desk was too warped and I ripped the screws out of the door trying to unwarp it. Oh well. Gotta try something else.

Pale black (or gray as you call it) isn't that bad...

Maybe you could trade it for a can of grey?

@rain... Well it is when it's that hardcore cement paint that gets you stoned and take 24 hours to dry then several months to fully cure. ;-)

and I did consider it for a couple minutes... then realized it was a very bad idea.

Anyway... both desks are now built. They look like crap but they are square and sturdy. A little too tall for keyboard playing though but I have another folding table (resin and prefabbed) I bought that's lower to the ground so that'll go on the 90 degree axis and the taller one I just finished will go in it's place and be my workbench.

    Almost there. So sleepy.
