I've been waiting for an opportunity to buy Eco but just have one question:

    What are the kits included??

I can't find this info on the fxpansion website, BFD2 has a kit page so you can audition every drum included, now if only I'd know what kits are included in Eco??

I like the dw, pearl and orange kits so if they are in Eco......

Thanks cwig for the heads up and if anybody can list the kits, that'd be great!!

ECO is great...I've had it since the last big sale at fxkpansion ($50 and a free expansion pack) and recently upgraded to BFD2.  Killer Diller.  Go get ya some.

Yep, another vote for Eco sounding great. Worth many times the $29 IMO, though I tend to be a Toontrack person.

I may give this a go. I've only got a dozen drum programmes and 4 billion midi loops.

Looks like this is 32 bit only?  Is anyone running it in Sonar 8.5 64 bit, are their any issues?

There seems to be a download option on the AudioMidi site, but the FXexpansion website makes no mention of download versions. Any one know the score?

edit - probably answered my second question, the AudioMidi site quotes around $40 shipping costs to the UK even if you select serial delivery.

It will appear in your account or something like that. Their other products can be downloaded from your account no problem.

Thanks, but they are still adding $40 shipping, which is not the case with the Toontrack EZX downloads.

$69 is not so much of a no brainer, and I don't need it I have drums out of the ying yang. Its just GAS and there are other things on the shopping list.

On the checkout page I have 3 shipping methods. The first one is "Electronic Delivery - Serial Number ($0.00)".

Yes. However, there is a 64-bit beta version of BDF2, so hopefully a 64-bit version of Eco is in the works.

Thanks. I just looked again and I have four methods including electronic deliverer $0. I was not there last time, or I am going mad.

I still don't need it, but it is tempting.

Could well have been a mistake. They did one recently and the company hadn't even given permission to sell it at the price and it was swiftly altered.

Ok, I just ordered it at 29!!

As said before, a nice way to upgrade to BFD2 and hopefully BFD3 and to be able to buy the platinum samples and the fxpansion expansion packs.

Should I wait for an email with the serial number?? this is the first time I buy something from audiomidi.

    Thanks!!

I have bought this as a download, but audio-midi advise me that they have 'sold out' of their first lot of stock, even as an electronic download, and therefore cannot supply me with a serial number yet because - wait for this - they have to await more physical stock from fxexpansion so they can open the boxes, note and distribute the serial numbers, and then they literally throw the contents of the box away !! The audio-midi rep I dealt with also had no idea how the product file downloads get accessed, so any advice on that would be much appreciated while I await my serial number; likely to be at least a day so they say. There is no download link in my audio-midi account area.

I haven't done this buy but AudioMidi are middlemen for these type of things. They usually send 2-3 emails (payment confirmation, download instructions & serial number). The download will be on the FXpansion site, possibly after you've created an account and registered the serial number. This should be covered in an email (which could take a day or two) so it's best to wait rather than speculate. Someone will be able to say exactly what happens very soon when everything starts 'shipping'.

If you have chosen the digital delivery option that AudioMIDI is offering you simply need to create a user account at fxpansion.com where you then register the serial number you purchased. This is the same process whether you buy boxed or digitally delivered FXpansion products. You will be prompted to download and install the latest version of BFD Eco. "Presto changeo!" you are up and running. The reason for the promo not currently being available at FXpansion.com is due to the official start date for the BFD Eco price drop promo actually being September 1, 2011. As this is a global promotion we are bound by "best practices" to continue to honor this official start date. As previously stated a purchase of BFD Eco at the unbelievable low price of $29 gives you a very powerful and sonically amazing drum sound workstation now, but puts you on the very cost effective upgrade path for BFD2 and eventually (TBD) BFD3 as your DAW production requirements evolve.
