More problems with X1

I know there are numerous different complaints on here, but i need to add another.  I finally got this DAW to seemingly function well it has worked for about 3 days without errors.  I decide to change my normal template that I spent hours and hours working on so that it would be easier for me to get to work when I launched sonar.  I added two reverbs and two cakewalk delays on seperate busses in my console.  It all worked fine, Ive used the plugins a hundred times in sonar and in FLstudio.  Well today I get into sonar and it keeps crashing on launch.  It won't start up at all.  It gets to the sonar splash screen and hangs.  I figured it had to be something I added so I removed the normal.cwt file and the DAW launches just fine.  Only problem is that now I have lost all of the configurations that I have done.  I am back to when I bought the software. 3 weeks worth of customization lost.  Honestly how hard would it be for this software to just say....plugin failed and not load the failed plugin?
I am getting very frustrated and angry with this software.  I have given it the benefit of the doubt numerous times and worked  to fix it over and over and over. Unfortunately it has done nothing but kill my production cycle  I haven't made a single track since I got the software.  I have had more issues with Sonar X1 in 3 or 4 weeks then I have had with FLStudio in 10 years.  And Im not padding that at all.
Im willing to give this software one more go with X1C and it better work correctly.  Otherwise I have no choice but to go elsewhere...I would really like a refund if this turns out to be the case but i doubt that will happen.

Anyways, I'm done ranting, now to look for a solution.... My question is this: Is there a way for me to save my somehow corrupted template file? Or am I stuck with redoing everything that I have done so far?

I appreciate you all listening while I vent my frustrations :)

Try opening the template file in safe mode (hold down shift when you open it) and you might get an idea what's going on with the file. Search for "File Recovery mode" in SONAR's help file.

    Hi Rodab,

Open up X1 and once the box comes up asking you which project you want to load, hold the left Shift key. Then you will see another box come up asking you 1 by 1 which plug-in and synth you would like loaded. That will help you trouble shoot a little.

    Hope that helps!

    Bub.

I just spent two days getting my projects to open without X1 Studio freezing/hanging on the open.  The solution for me was this (I pass it on because its a real nasty software bug because the cause is not at all apparent):

To make a long story short,  I solved the problem of Sonar Freezing when opening a project by adding the

    WarnSilentBuses

parameter to Sonar's Cakewalk.ini file, and setting it to 0 (zero).  By adding this parameter via the Edit->Preferences->Initialization File screen, I can now open all of my projects so far.  Interesting, no?

This may have nothing to do with your problem, but it's worth a try...

PS.  This error occurs when a project is using a send and or a bus... I found this gem of a fix here:

    Good luck!
