Yes, from my understanding, the archeological evidence suggests that the heads are attached to the bodies by large springs ... and some scientists are speculating that they originally sat on the dashboards of the giant spaceships that brought them here.

I think Dave had it right. Have they uncovered the 90' tall hula dancer yet? The last I heard, they lost this somewhere around Venus and they thought it might have bounced.
In an unrelated note, those gigantic fuzzy dice went a lot faster than I expected on eBay. The shipping charges to Kalnock 7 are outrageous.

People of antiquity went to a lot of trouble to make big things out of rocks...or someone else made them. In any case, why not add some variation to them. They all looked the same on Easter Island.
My first impressions were that they looked like the Blues Brothers gone bad...really bad. Like multiple tuplets of one rather plain looking dude,only without sunglasses or hats.
Sometimes I wonder why these cultures did these things. 1000 years from now what will they say about us?
