It seems to be pretty much the rule that anywhere you go on the internet you're going to have to sift through a mountain of BS to get to anything useful. On average, this forum is probably better than most.

Like this thread 21doors started. I cant imagine me starting a thread about someone else. 21doors has issues and its the kind that this forum cant fix...

Wow what an unusual post?
Yeah sometimes when I come in here I feel that 'some' people have been here forever.
I have read others questions - probably from a newbie that doesn't understand something about a soundcard or their DAW in general.
But this place is no different that going into a local pub/bar and asking a goofy question to guys that really know their stuff.
Somedays they might be kinda in your face and other days they might be very kind and extremely helpful.
I would hope that the 'regulars' are human beings and like all human beings they make mistakes or (imagine this) like to have some fun.
What I have found is 99% of these people (regulars) are alot smarter than me - I have learned a ton from these 'regulars.'
Like I said - it's no different than going into your local bar - pulling up a chair and introducing yourself - asking a Sonar related question and going from there.
I just wonder where some of these guys get so much spare time to be on here and not using Sonar - but that's cool.
This Forum is no different than real life - there will always be smarties. Go with the flow - I am certain if you are asking normal (sorta) intelligent questions - you will get an answer eventually.
Chances are that answer will assit you in learning more about Sonar - have fun everyone.

I have been lurking here reading every post. I am have been greatly surprised by the support you all have given to CJ and me. I didn’t know how to respond to this thread though I wanted to very much.

I felt it best to let others respond. Now I think maybe I am wrong in this. I don’t know what motivates a person to start a thread that attacks another but it has happened before. It shouldn’t but there is no way to stop it.

The thing that I wonder is why. I could go over the cause of this thread but if I did I believe you all would be scratching your collective heads as I did when this thread was started. What could have really been the cause of it.

I proposed that we all drop this and let it go. I ask 21doors to forgive me if he felt I offended him. Let it be done with let it be over.

I do want to thank each and every one of you for being so supportive. I am very grateful to you all.

Best
John

To John & CJ........
Although I have never directly talked to either of you regarding any issues I may have had with Sonar.
I have read thousands ( yes I do mean thousands ) of your comments to fellow Forum people.
YOU guys are the ones that I referred to as the 'smarties' on here and if you ask an intelligent question you'll probably get some assistance with your Sonar related question eventually.
I posted something on here about a year ago - it basically stated - think how lucky ALL of us are here in Sonar Forum - if we have a problem and don't understand something/anything about the workings within Sonar - probably there is someone in this world that will guide us through those issues. We are very fortunate to have this 'soap box' to get up and express ourselves to the world.
Imagine if they pulled the plug on Sonar? Think about that for a moment and enjoy each other here.

I just noticed that CJ is approaching 15,000. John is a tad under 10,000.

Interesting.
Also interesting to note that many users of cakewalk feel the forum here is a joke.
Interesting to see that many users who left Sonar complained about the user base as being out of touch with reality, having to argue about bugs instead of getting solutions.
I'm not surprised.
How much money have you two cost Sonar?

Wow.

I'd have to say your post is the most arrogant of all times. Who died and left you to judge? Or are you voicing your opinion when you are so damning of others when they do so. Take yourself to other forums with haste. They might welcome you.

Why does CJ get soooooo much **** when he has declared his take on posting long ago and has constistantly "guided" peeps where they needed to go?

Jeeze guyz, CJ is one of the few strangers here that I would let into my studio and know that a good time would be had. I don't get the CJ stuff that floats up from time to time. I've said it before and I'll ask again, anyone actually listened to the jams he has posted???????

Anyway, gay bar bouncer all the way or selling Harley parts at yer local dealer

Hey
I can have fun discussing quantum physics

Like
Two particles were walking down the street. One of the says "Hey, I think I lost an electron."
The other says "are you sure?"
The first one replys "Yes I'm positive!"

Hahahahahah

We're musicians,we don't want to grow up.

Who says you can't work and play?
I mostly read and learn from theads, not much of a poster, but I think this forum has a good balance of info and good natured ribbing. It's the internet, you have to seperate the wheat from the chaff, self moderate.I would be disappointed if the forum was too dry.

regarding Irony.. I heard this on the radio the other day , made me smile

Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic" lyrics... "It's like rain on your wedding day" ... it WOULD be ironic.. if both the bride and groom were long range weather forecasters . The Irish comedian Ed Byrne came out with that one..

as for this thread.. I didn't bother posting as if you have an issue with someone on any forum... ya just ignore them.. maturity is avoiding such issues in the first place. Life is way too short to be worried about such things.
