Motherboard question

So my Emachine desktop has an ECS motherboard Geforce6100 with AN AMD sempron processor. I want to add a AMD athlon x2 and 4 gigs of ram. The onboard Emachines bios only allow for thar processor and 2 gigs of ram. If I swap my MoBo with and ECS board same make and model with the ECS bios will it just be plug and play. Everything on the boards are the same they are the same board one with ecs bios the other with emachines.
