Motu 1224 won't sync with external word clock

Hello:
I bought a pci-424 and a later on one 1224 for now, and I am planning to get 2 more for 24 outs, both used to try it out, since I am using 3 Delta 1010 rigth now, mixing to outboard.
I am using a new computer with AMD 6 cores, and Win7 64 bit, Ultimated Edition, and Sonar X1 64 bit.
I am having the following issue:
 
1. the 1224 does not sync to my Lucid Genx192 word clock, or to my Apogee PSX-100. It will sync for 2 mintues and then the sample rate light on the 1224 keeps flashing back and forth between 41 and 48 K. I have also tried the terminated mode to no avail.
2. it will only works on 424-Internal, which is OK right now, temporarily.
 
I have tried both WDM and Asio and it is the same
 
Anyone has experience with this, and what is the work around, if any?
