Mouse button won't select Play or any icons on Transport Module. Before latest update all was well.

Been using and upgrading Sonar for 10 yrs, etc., all good.
Previous SPLAT upgrades fine.

This is likely something I'm missing, but after this month's upgrade on the first existing project I've been working on.....

The problem is the normal primary mouse button won't affect any buttons in the Transport Module. In fact no mouse button has as any effect on transport. On same desktop stable for last couple years, HP Pavilion Elite.

The mouse works on all other control modules and functions. Sonar is stable, nothing else funky.

Space bar starts/stops normally for transport, but not mouse.

The same for every existing project I've opened.

The same when trying a new project based on a template.

This is driving nuts. I'm leaning towards I've overlooked something.

I'm working on some church music improving some tracks by a praise team leader who recently passed on unexpectedly and I don't have any real time crunches yet. Although I'm trying to get out a CD of dome of his best performances relatively soon. Bringing his voice out in mixes where possible. Actually some of his best vocals are from practices. You never know when it may be "your time to go"..

Well that's just a little sidebar, sorry for going of on a tangent...

Anyway I'm thinking some option was changed, or I inadvertently changed something somewhere, but nothing is apparent.

I've looked at the device controller re mouse, keyboard, etc. Looked at the Logitech mouse 705 set up, no changes. No other programs have different mouse issues, buttons operate the same on other programs. No other computer changes. I use the Edirol FA-101, stable for years.

Anyone run into this somewhere?

Thanks,

Joe

I do have my mouse L/R buttons swapped as because my left handed wife kept them swapped on our first computer 30 yrs ago and I just gave in and got used to it.

However, to point out... we haven't used the same computer anymore in 25 yrs... I'm the only one using my computer, she has hers and knows mine is very specifically mine. I work in IT department and on my PC I have things just so, and favor stability over any chances of persons clicking on things while sending family pics and things back and forth etc.

I wonder if a Windows update caused this. Although it's a very specific problem.

Hi. I do not have any solution to your problem, but my laptop has gotten some weird behavior from time to time after a Win update.
An example is that I cannot use my touch pad on my laptop. It is non functional. This has happened before, and gotten fixed with a later Win update.
Sorry to be of no more help.
    All the best.

I'm leaning that way. Maybe an incognito Windows update issue.
I've noticed I can mouse roll over other control bar modules and the module next to the one I'm over will highlight.
    A strange day indeed.
