Mouse control problems

Ok, I must be missing something especially when I search the forum for this subject. I am unable to contol faders with mouse. I place the mouse arrow over the fader and it disappears when I left click to control. In addition the fader will either shoot all the way to the top or pan all the way to the left. I am running Vista Premium. I just got Studio 6.0 a couple of days ago and just as new is the computer I assembled, which should have enough power be able to launch the space shuttle.

ok I went out and got a Vista certified mouse. Still having problems with using mouse during fader control. This appears to be the only time I have trouble with mouse, which leads me back to Sonar. Someone please help, this is killing me.

OK two things check your mouse drivers and then check the settings for the mouse in windows they maybe out of wack. if that don't work then switch from a usb port to a mouse port. Most mice come with an adapter.

Tried both solutions but neither worked. It is defintely something with Sonar and the mouse. Anyone else ever heard of this problem.

I've never heard of that problem, but I'd try changing display drivers before doing anything else.
