Mouse gone bad...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zESpteJVUZg

I think I've had a mouse go bad!! It's just subtle and it only shows up as bad within Sonar.

When I use my kid's wireless mouse, I don't have the problem.

I only have the problem with this mouse (whether plugged into USB2 or USB3 and with touch screen plugged in and unplugged).

I've just never seen this before.

So weird!!

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

If the other mouse is behaving it's probably dodgy drivers or additional software interfering (legit or not legit). Are you using any additional software with your mouse? Logitech for instance supplies a lot of bloatware. Maybe the wireless mouse software is interfering with your wired mouse drivers for instance. Strip down the driver basics I suggest that come with Windows.

Or maybe the mouse itself is just plain faulty. Either way it's at OS or hardware level I suspect.

Is it a Logitech mouse? They have a well documented problem with developing phantom double clicks. I went through a couple before I realized. Doing some research I found that there is a temporary solution which involves taking the batteries out, disconnecting the bluetooth dongle and pressing all the buttons repeatedly for a minute or two (or something like that. You'd have to look it up). Something to do with residual charges in the capacitors. Anyway it worked for me for about a day before the problem came back. In the end I contacted Logitech support and since it was still under warranty they sent me a brand new mouse (actually due to sloppy organization on their end, they actually sent me two, but shhhhh....). The new one doesn't have the phantom double click problem.

Of course all of this is moot if you're not using a Logitech mouse and it's not a phantom click problem, in which case I'm talking out of my ass...
