Mouse pointer disappears when dragging clips

Hi, when I drag a clip, when the mouse pointer is touching the cursor, the pointer turns into a "forbidden sign", and the clip disappears, so I can't drop the clip in that position. Has it happened to anyone else?
Thanks

Hi. Could it be that the clip is locked? If you right click on the clip you should be able to see if it is so.

    Best of luck.

Hey Ken, thanks, but that is not the problem. Clips move around just fine, they just disappear when the pointer is near the cursor. Which usually is where i want to drop the clip!

Can you link to a screen capture of what you're seeing?

Here's a link to a video. First I try to drag a clip and when the pointer touches the cursor the clip dissapears. I "drop" the invisible clip, but nothing happens. Next I show you how if i keep going after crossing the cursor the pointer and clip reappear and I can drop it on the track. Thanks for reading and watching!

That is strange. I cannot replicate. Maybe one of the more knowledgeable will hopefully have an answer for you.
    Best of luck.

I have not seen the pointer change like that, but I have had difficulty in the past dropping clips on or very near to the cursor. I am not sure whether I am able to now as I have gotten into the habit of avoiding/moving it! I will try when next in the studio.

Ohhh..... I see.  It's giving you the "no" sign when hovering over the Now Time marker.   That is weird!

What happens if you expand Track Lanes and try the same thing?  What if the Now Time is moved - does the "no" sign shift its position with it?
