Mouse pointer vanishes at times.

I am running X1 and at times my mouse pointer vanishes.  When I get out of choosing the option I want in a pull down menu, it appears again.  Any suggestions?

    Yeah, I've seen that too. With Win7s grey on grey in menus it's not that easy to follow it at a glanse. I thought it was related to having Battery in the project but was proven wrong. I have no idea. Seem a little random to me. Having said that, after I upgraded to Expanded I don't recall having seen it. Are you on Expanded?

    Are you running dual monitors? I've seen it happen several times on my desktop setup (dual monitors). I've never had it happen on my laptop. I just chalked it up to graphics card quirks.

    Hmm... Nope. single monitor setup here.

    but like I said, I don't recall having seen it lately.

    I had a problem where my mouse cursor would show as a dashed line and stick for a bit. Upon inspection it had to do with the fact my mouse was USB, and I had a lot of USB gear running off the PC power. When there is a surge in power drawn from the PC through USB it Windows tend to prioritize power with the mouse in last place, causing it to get stuck. Apparently its common with USB units like M-audio controllers and Kore2 controllers. However, simplifying my USB set up, not turning everything on at once, and plugging in gear so that it doesn't draw from my PC has prevented this since.

    Not sure if this reflects your situation, just throwing it out there.

    I have seen this too, actually shortly after installing Expanded. Not running Battery so not related to that. Haven't seen it since. Definitely hard to put a finger on a root cause.

    open your devices in windows and right click on the mouse to change it's parameters.  make sure you have the (default) checkbox UNCHECKED for "hide pointer while typing"
