Moving C:\Cakewalk Content\* to another drive?

I currently have C:\Cakewalk Content\* which I want to move to another drive. I'm wondering if there is an easy or recommended way of doing that? 
 
I see I can update some paths within Preferences > File > Folder Locations, but there are directories such as LP EQ, LP MB, impulses and others which can't be updated in this way. I also see that there is an option to set the Cakewalk Content directory path in Command Center settings, but I presume that is just for installing.
 
Any advice on this would be much appreciated as "Cakewalk Content" is eating a big chunk of my SSD system drive and so would be better migrated to my bigger, second drive.

There is an app that allows you to create a right click mouse function.

Thanks, guys, I'll use the symlink method, however, that is untidy and it would be better if it could be migrated via the Cakewalk Command Center. It should do the trick though.

If you change the path in CC, there is no need for the link.

That's the whole idea. Windows thinks the files are in their original place while the link points to a different location.

So Sonar is still looking for files in C:/Cakewalk Content and you shouldn't have to change default locations at all.

That's the way symbolic links work and so in fact it's a very neat elegant solution.

I have all my files going to default locations and 3 links take care of moving all the data to another drive. I don't have to change anything in preferences or redirect any files in CCC. Simples.

Hi Bob, I'm not so sure. In Sonar > Preferences, the directories are still pointing at C:\Cakewalk Content despite having updated the path in CC. It seems CC moves the directory and updates its own registry, but does not update Sonar or plugins - hence using the symlink. It would make a lot of sense if updating the path in CC did update all references to it, but it doesn't seem to.

It took me all of 60 secs to change prefs.  My point was that if you do one method, don't do the other.

BTW, the mklink command is no longer available in Windows 10 as far as I can tell.

Since I started this thread, I reformatted my system and moved up to Win 10. When I did that, I remembered to set the paths in CC before installing anything. I do think though, that the bakers should build a prompt into CC asking the user where they want to install program vs content on a new install. And maybe also build in a simple function for relocating paths/migrating content.
