Moving X1 projects to X2 (not sure)

Hi,
I am in the middle of some projects started in X1.
I want to take advantage of X2 new stuff obviously.
So I want to move to X2 purchased and installed. (X2 has been pretty stable so far for me, with new projects)

So if I make a copy of the entire song folder in order to use it in X2, I get all sort of little glitches here and there.
not that they are very enoying but enough to think not to move the project to X2.
ex: moving the faders in console view is lagging, disappearing channel gate gui (need exit x2 and restart)

Any suggestions.. anything to do in X2 if projects are coming from X1.

thanks in advance for you input

I loaded X1 projects into X2 without any issues. You can always do a 'save as' for the X2 version if you like. I don't see a real need to duplicate the folder w/ audio. The project name change should suffice.

Just click them and open them in X2... pretty painless.

If you try to open it again in X1 after it has been opened in X2, you get a warning box which I have found to be totally irrelevant.

I have done this and it works well in both directions. Heck I even opened projects from CWP8 well before Sonar 1 in MC4 and it opened just fine. I had to reconfigure the midi tracks to the synths in MC because the new synths did not exist in CWP8,  but everything ran smooth.

Agreed on not copying the entire song folder. but i did that to be on the safe side.  did not want to loose what was already done.

so between X1 and X2 same project, you did not get any lagging when you clicked the fader in the console view. the response is not immediate on mine. X1 works fine X2 delayed click and moving fader.

I only have some of the MC series DAWs (4,5,6)  and X1.... but all my files are loadable in either with no problems.

With the exception of some controller surface settings getting scrambled (fixed them in the control surface menu) my current X1 project transferred flawlessly to X2.

    Thx for sharing,
i will look for the quick fix.

My project are loading into x2 flawlessly, but when working into it, there are some glitches here and there that did not happen in x1.

i am not using any controller surface at the moment. this is coming soon tho.
