Moving an audio clip

Hi!

I've recorded a guitar part over some backing softsynths, and have decided to move it to later in the project.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple...

When I cut/paste or drag/move the clip to a later time, no sound is heard...meters show no action either.

Can anyone suggest what I've missed?

Thanks

Is there a chance you may have dropped it onto a MIDI track by mistake when moving it?

    Hmmm...Fixed it.

Used Process/Slide to position the clip where I wanted it. Odd that copy or move didn't work.

Might it be that they failed to pick up the ampsim initialisation? MIDI used to do that sometimes...if you moved a clip, sometimes the sounds were different.

    Ah well. Ever onward...
