Moving/Copying Parts Of A Song As A Group

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering, what is the quickest or best way to move or copy a group of tracks?  Let's say I want to create Verse 2, but I want to copy everything from Verse 1?

Is the only way to select all tracks in a time range and then drag everything?  I find this kind of sloppy.   Reason has a great feature called "Blocks" which is useful for this.

Thank You,
Adam

If you ignore some of my stupidity in the linked thread there were some helpful suggestions in regards to this here...

Adam - I do that kind of thing all the time, conveniently and with surgical precision.

Describing the steps as I do here takes far more time than actually doing it, which can be just a few mouse clicks.

Example - you want to repeat a chorus, and presently it begins on measure 25 and goes for 8 bars. As an example want to put the repeat chorus to begin at measure 48.

    1. Click in any track then on the keyboard press Control A to select all.
    2. Under the Edit menu choose Select By Time.
    3. In the From put 25 1
    4. In the To put 33 1
    5. Click Okay
    6. Control Alt C - copy special, allows you to choose if you want to also copy the markers etc.
    7. Control Alt V - paste special - allows you to specify with precision where you want to paste. For this example you would put to start the paste on Track 1, and to paste starting at 48 1. You can also specify if you want the markers etc.
    8. Click okay and it's perfectly there.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
