Mr Kiosk returns...

Hi there ! It’s been a while since I have posted although I have lurked a bit the last couple of weeks. I just wanted to share with you the fact that I have been quiet for a long time as I took on my battle with colon cancer which was diagnosed just about a year ago. After three major operations and 6 months chemotherapy I received the news last week that I am all clear, and now only have to recover from my last surgery from 1st August. I realise how lucky I am compared to many others and just feel a sense of gratitude and relief rather than celebration.
By way of sharing something with you, I performed as drummer and guitarist in my first gig for over 18 months on Saturday night, friends helping me move my gear as I am still fragile.  For those of us that love music I cannot tell you all how much of a red letter day it was for my family and I .
Bear in mind this is a group of old friends and we put this gig together on Saturday with no rehearsal whatsoever, and I am behind my kit for the first time in over a year with no prior practice and against doctors orders !
Anyway, it’s good to be back – Enjoy !

    I was nearly a gonner end of last August, went undiagnosed until it finally blocked... ended up in 5 hours emergency surgery on a Sunday.

    As far as the gig Mr Bouy, I was happy just to get the engine ticking over again and last the evening ! No frills was the order of the day...

    Thank you Steve, Beagle, Old55 and Janet, no guarantees of course but since when did life come with those ! I am already adopting a different diet and exercise plan. And yes, Janet, I will be playing with extra gusto from now onwards ! When I get back to my old standard (or surpass even!) I promise to share my recorded original music with you all.
