Multichannel recording(only 2 channels selectable)

I'm currently trying to use my mixer (alesis multimix16 firewire) as recording device in MC6T.

The problem is following: At the settings, the different channels of the mixer are listed but I can actually only use two channels for recording. If I choose MIC 1 at the settings I can only assign MIC 1 Left and MIC 1 Right (which is in fact MIC 2). For using MIC 3 and 4, I have to go back to the settings and change recording device to MIC 3.

So how am I able to assign different channels to different tracks for recording at the same time? I see all channels at the settings so I guess it's not a hardware issue.

Welcome to the forum.
Music Creator can only record two simultaneous inputs regardless of the interface's capabilities.
If you need to record more than 2, you'll need to upgrade to one of the X programs.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
Everything is better with pie.
