Multimedia Class Scheduler service (MMCSS) - insider knowledge wanted

Is there anyone out there with deeper knowledge about how MMCSS (which was introduced back in the win Vista days) affects us DAW/Sonar users now in the Win10 days?
 
Sonar documentation is really sparse. Google search returns only results from 2013 and earlier ...
 
I understand what it theoretically is about (M$ pages, wikipedia) ... giving max priority to Sonar and its threads, yet I don't know what difference it makes (and not fully understand what settings to use in Sonar) on an offline PC that runs Sonar and nothing else.
