Multiple Melodyne Activations per machine...

I have a feeling that I might be alone on this...because I haven't seen it mentioned yet...but...

When I upgraded from Melodyne Editor 2 to Melodyne Studio 4 and opened the standalone app first...it asked me to activate the license.  (Okay, yeah...that makes sense.  'Twould be expected.)

Then a day or so later, I opened up SPlat (Cambridge I think) and tried editing a chunk of audio data with Melodyne as a Region Fx.  It opened Melodyne and asked me to activate again!  The Celemony web interface indicated that I had an activation for AuntieEm (the studio machine I previously activated...the same one I was now on) and an activation free.  I went ahead and activated again...and found both activations consumed by the same machine (AuntieEm).

Is this expected behavior?

I had hoped to use the other activation for my laptop.  I didn't want to squander them both on the same machine.

I know that this is actually a question for Celemony.  I've initiated an e-mail conversation with them on it.  But I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this on SONAR.

E-mail Melodyne support and explain exactly what happened and they will give you back one activation.
It happened to me several times in the past and they always fix it quickly.

EDIT: No, it is not expected behavior but happens once in a while.
The pattern I have discovered is that if you activate it in the Stand-alone this is more likely to happen.
Now, I always activate in the plug-in and have not had it happen since.

When I activated Studio 4 first in the standalone mode I then tried it inside SPlat and was able to to a regionFX and work on it without having to reauthorize it.  Same on my laptop.

I already had the Celemony singletrack editor and never installed it via Sonar or the CCC so that may be the difference (?)
Celemony has always been good at fixing these issues.
