Multiple Midi tracks

Hi guys.
Hey sorry for what is probably a stuypid question but I'm blanking here.
I set up a bunch audio tracks and a few Midi tracks.
Entered the Fantom VS and channel one is a piano. Fine.
Took the second Midi track and selected channel 2 and set Fantom ch 2 for something else. And channel 10 for some drums.
Also inserted Studio Instruments drums.
Nothing sounds except the first one.
No idea what I'm missing but it's gotta be something.
Can anybody give a guess or point me to the right tutorial?
My eyesight kinda sucks.....
Thanks
WSS

I think there are at least two ways to use the Fantom in the VS 700.  The way I use it is:

    * Check that the Fantom is checked in Preferences>Midi>Devices
    * Create a midi track
    * in the Output box choose "Fantom VS"
    * Next choose a channel, then bank, then preset.

Create another midi track, and do the same except for the channel.  I can get 16 channels of simultaneous playback like this.  (Although I haven't check all 16- but I have checked up to creating 4 midi tracks and it works like any external multi-timbral synth works.

Yep that's always been my procedure.
I'm now wondering if I should un check console in preferences?
When I hit a key lights flash.
