Multiple Monitors? with Sonar

Has anyone used video card like the Matrox Quad Lo profile (up to 4 monitors - usually used by stock traders in the "pit".) Anyone know if I can spread Sonar windows all over 4 different monitors? I can't find much in the manuals about this, nor online either. thankyou, david

It's a Windows thing, basically. In Sonar you can enable everything, except the track view, to float. I work with 2 monitors, others here have 3. No problems.

Thanks LoopJunkie! I just got the Matrox for something else but I'm going to divert it to the studio and I'll keep everyone posted. Off Ebay today: an HP xw6200 dual 3.2 GHZ with the Matrox quad for $1300. I just couldn't let it go! Now I need three more monitors! :-) What a relief! Again thanks.

    Wednesday

I use two matrox cards: one a g450 agp, and the 'tother a g450 pci: 4 monitors, no waiting.

Most of the time I use just the two on the left.

But when I want to feel very bi-partisan, I power on the two on the right.

And boy do I feel big,,,... er,,,, good.

Yep, Sonar doesn't care how many monitors you have. I think there are cards that will let you have up to 16 The Matrox is a more sane option. I did an eval on the Matrox Quad PCIe version at work at it worked just fine. However, beware the little heat sink can come off if you grip one of the attachement pins the wrong way. Doube check it and make sure it on there good.
