Yep I have all midi in one track as well, but, it does have its limitation that you can't easily adjust coincident midi events differently without laboriously changing each event individually. For instance I may want a bass drum hit snare drum and hi hat that are coincident to be at different levels throughout a song. I would like to be able to select the instrument then sweep across each hit with the mouse in the velocity pane. I feel a feature request coming on.

Would Event Filters quickly give you the list of events for particular events you want to modify?

Here is the link to the documentation for that:

Thanks Bob,

I'll take a look, but I do think it should be doable from the PRV.

Bob,

Just had a quick scan of the documentation. Whilst it does look useful, it's not going to cater for Accent patterns that a drummer will often play on the Hi Hats or Ride.

I play all my parts in off my eDrums, which whilst good and pretty accurate, the hi hats don't always translate well into midi. I may want to play a push pull pattern with an accent on every other beat, sadly the event filter won't cater for that. A quick swipe of the velocity pane and the notes can be adjusted, but not the coincident ones.

Getting back on track of the OP, I can see how splitting the midi into different tracks could be useful, but not convenient.

This is similar to another thread and I still don't get it yet.
Say I have a TTS1 drum kit input in a midi track. (I currently use the PRV for editing)
In simplest of terms, how do I, for example, get the snare onto an independant audio track?
EG
1.Make new audio track
2.Set output to TTS1
3.?
