Music Creator 1.0h no

Is it possible to bounce midi tracks to audio tracks in v1.0.? (I know, I know I badly need an upgrade) I have scoured the forums and tried everything I could find to accomplish this seemingly do-able task with no luck.

Here's what is happening: When I am trying to bounce a midi track to an audio track I click "mix down audio" and the "export to file" and "bounce to track" buttons are greyed out. I am getting vocals and guitar on the audio tracks just fine and am able to hear the midi tracks and the audio tracks in playback. But all I can mixdown is audio.

Thanks for any light you all can shed on this for me.

Waht matters is what the midi track is routed thru to make it play, are you using the microsoft synth GS? If so you need to use a true softsynth, like edirol VSC. I do not know what Version 1.0 has, i used to have that, but it will not play on my current program, so I upgraded to 2003. Dude version 2 is only $39 give your self a treat and come way past windows 98

    Thanks for the reply.

It is using ms synth gs and gives me no other options. Upgrade it is.

Does Mcpro have a compressor? I played with the lite version of Multitrack Studio and really found that the compressor helped me get my vocs out in front of the music. (I did not like the Multitrack format at all though.)

I do original Texas music and am just trying to put together a decent cd that I can use as a demo and sell at gigs. I think Sonar would be much overkill and provide me too many fun gadgets to distract myself with.

I do not know i don't have MCPro, I do have MC, and it has no compressor, but there are compressors out there that will work with it like the blue line set. I also have Multitrack Studios the Pro Plus version and it has the best set of effects of any of the programs ou there as far as i can tell, it is my favorite program right now. 19 effects and a built in sampler for $119, plus if you do not want to do multiple track at one time the Pro version is only $69

    Thanks.

Do you use MC and Multitrack Studios together? If so, how and why?

Somewhat, i use MC for midi file work, like when i want to do surgury on a midi file i find the midi view a bit easier to use in MC. But for full tracking i use MTS far more often, I am demo-ing Sonar right now, since i use alot of synths and sound fonts i need more than MC to get my projects done, but so far i can not justify the price of Sonar. But i want a bunch of good effects to use and the ability to play midi thru something better than edirol. So the samper in MTS works perfect for me.

I will check out the MTS $69 version; like I said, I loved the sound I got, I'll just have to get used to the screens. Sounds like it will do the trick for me. Thanks again for all your help. BTW, I just stumble onto http://www.wavearts.com/downloads.html and downloaded the Final Plug 5 demo. It is a full blown 30day demo and oh, man this thing sounds great. They have some other plugs I want to try. You probably already know about wave arts but if not I thought you might like to check it out.

I have heard of them, but with MTS I just use the included stuff, the package has a reverb, but i use the convolutor, and have downloaded about twenty or thirty impulses, and it is kind of like the perfect space verb that comes with sonar Producer, yet free.
